After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Law, Julie James clerked for the United States Court of Appeals in Jacksonville, Florida. She then practiced law with one of the nation's largest law firms for several years until she began writing screenplays. After two of her scripts were optioned by Hollywood producers, she decided to leave the practice of law to write full-time. Her first novel, Just the Sexiest Man Alive, debuted in October 2008 and it was a bestseller. Her second novel, Practice Makes Perfect, was released in March 2009. This is Julie's third novel, Something About You. Julie James lives with her husband and son in Chicago and currently is working on her fourth novel.
